A Partner at Cherry Johnson Siegmund James, Dominic Braus, focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Based at the firm's Waco office, he represents clients nationwide who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. His passion for this area of practice stems from his own experience as a plaintiff in personal injury litigation resulting from his injuries in the Texas A&M Bonfire Collapse.

Dominic attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business in 2003. He then enrolled at Baylor Law School. While studying abroad at Paris-Sorbonne University, Dominic interned at a prominent Paris law firm. He also clerked for the 54th District Court in Waco before being awarded his Juris Doctor in 2009.

After graduating from law school, Dominic joined a Beaumont personal injury law firm, where he obtained several sizable settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of his clients. He then moved back to central Texas, where he worked as a partner at a national personal injury law firm for 13 years. During that time, he obtained significant trial experience and became Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Dominic has been recognized as a top attorney in his field by multiple organizations. He also serves on the board for several legal and civic organizations. Admitted to practice in Texas, Dominic is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas.

In his spare time, Dominic enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, as well as coaching youth sports.
