Darin Deaver is a partner at Cherry Johnson Siegmund James, focusing on intellectual property and technology transactions. He brings more than two decades of experience advising clients on the procurement, development, and management of patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property assets.

Darin has represented clients across a wide range of industries and technologies, including medical devices, consumer products, software, energy, and aerospace systems. He works closely with clients to develop and manage intellectual property portfolios, guide asset strategy and protection, and navigate complex technology-driven transactions.

His experience includes drafting and negotiating intellectual property and technology license agreements, consulting and confidentiality agreements, and advising on privacy policies, terms of use, and intellectual property risk management. He also advises clients in intellectual property disputes.

Darin earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas, where he graduated cum laude.
