Jacob Boswell is an experienced personal injury litigator. He has broad experience in handling cases involving commercial and personal vehicle accidents, wrongful deaths and property damage. After spending years defending truck drivers and motorists for numerous insurance companies, Jacob brings his knowledge of the intricacies of insurance litigation to Cherry Johnson Siegmund and James to help the injured seek compensation from those insurance companies. With experience on both sides of these cases, Jacob is able to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his cases in order to secure favorable settlements and verdicts for his clients.

Biography

Jacob Boswell has handled a variety of litigation ranging from consumer protection cases and family law matters including divorce and child custody battles, to business litigation, business receiverships and building contractor disputes. However, Jacob now specializes in personal injury claims involving 18-wheeler accidents, catastrophic injuries and wrongful deaths. He has spent years working for the insurance companies so he could learn how they evaluate claims and make settlement determinations. This insider knowledge gives Jacob an edge in handling these cases that many attorneys do not have. Jacob now uses this knowledge to zealously represent his clients in seeking rightful compensation from these companies.

Jacob has been recognized by his colleagues as a Texas Super Lawyer and Texas Rising Star and by numerous other organizations as a top attorney in his field. He has interned for a district court judge, served as a guardian ad litem representing minors in injury cases, argued cases in all four federal district courts in Texas and has written briefs for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and federal bankruptcy court as well as to the Texas Supreme Court.

Jacob played NCAA Division II basketball at Harding University before graduating summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas. He attended the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University where he participated in numerous mock trial competitions across the country. Jacob is an Eagle Scout. He is a native of Dallas and lives there with his wife. Jacob enjoys international travel, listening to books on Audible while walking his dogs and spending time with his family.
